우리 스터디는 일주일에 <입트영> 네 챕터를 외운다. 각자 2분 이내의 음성 파일을 녹음해서 단톡방에 올린다. 직접 만나서는 서로 내용을 얼마나 잘 외웠는지 테스트도 한다. 다소 부담스럽다는 친구도 있지만, 나는 약간의 긴장감이 있어야 더 꾸준히 하게 된다고 생각한다.

familiar / 익숙한, 친숙한 vs 예의 없는
familiar는 본문에서와 같이 이미 수차례 보거나 경험해서 '익숙한' 혹은 '친숙한' 것을 뜻한다. 다만 간혹 충분히 친하지 않은데도 지나치게 격식이 결여되어 '예의가 없는' 혹은 '선을 넘는' 태도에 대해 부정적인 의미로 사용하는 경우도 있다.

친숙한 얼굴이 보이니 반갑다.
■ I don't like his familiar tone.
그의 무례한 말투가 마음에 안 든다.
