저는 학창 시절에 영어도 싫어하고 운동도 그렇게 좋아하지 않던 학생이었습니다. 그런데 이런 제가 지금은 주말이면 운동장에 나가 아들과 함께 야구를 하고, 매일 저녁 <입트영> 방송을 들으며 영어 공부까지 함께 하고 있습니다.
<입트영>을 같이 공부하는 친구들과 퀴즈 문제도 공유하고 있습니다. 간혹 아들이 바쁠 때면 제가 직접 문제를 생각해 내기도 합니다. 물론 가끔 공부하기가 싫을 때도 있지만, 아들과 책상에 마주 앉아 웃고 즐겁게 함께하는 이 시간 덕분에 저도 영어가 점점 좋아지기 시작했습니다.
이런 따뜻한 추억이 저에게 성장을 주듯, 아들의 삶에도 든든한 버팀목이 되었으면 좋겠습니다. 이렇게 함께 성장하는 시간을 오래오래 이어 가고 싶습니다.

Back when I was a student, I didn't like English, and I was not really into sports either. But now, I spend my weekends out on the field playing baseball with my son. And every evening, we listen to "입트영" and study together.
We also share quiz questions with others who study with "입트영." Sometimes when my son is busy, I even come up with questions myself. Of course, there are days when I don't feel like studying. But sitting across from my son, laughing and having a good time together, has made me start to warm to English.
These warm memories have helped me grow as a person, and I hope they will offer support for my son, too. I hope to keep growing together this way for as long as I can.

[VOCABULARY TIPS!]

warm / 좋아지다. 친해지다 vs 데우다 vs. 따뜻한
'따뜻한'이라는 의미가 가장 대표적이지만, warm은 본문에서와 같이 '좋아지다' 혹은 '친해지다'라는 의 미로도 사용이 가능하며, 이럴 경우 warm to라는 표현을 쓴다. 또한 따뜻하게 '데우다'라는 의미로 warm up이라는 표현도 매우 자주 사용된다.

■ I warmed up some soup for lunch.
점심은 수프를 데워서 먹었다.
■ I'm sure you'll warm to him eventually.
너도 언젠가는 그와 친해질 수 있을 거야.
